Don’t believe me. I state this upfront because as a human with a scientific background I’m all for proving things for myself and not blindly following what others say. This post comes about because I commented on another blog that Trump was “elected” because the world focused on him INCESSANTLY. This brought up the reply to my comment that people do not suffer through atrocities because they focused on them. Here’s the thing . I first need to state that no one is to blame for being a victim of slavery or concentration camps. Blame will just get us more of the atrocity. But the Law of Attraction is pretty simple — keep focusing on it — get it — whether you want it or not. What is not simple is the FOCUS part. No human I know would consciously attract being the victim in sex trafficking or wars or sexism…. And yet all of those exist. People thought them into existence. Loving, kind, good people have suffered through them. And non-loving, snarky, evil people have avoided them. The question is how?
Although the concept of the Law of Attraction is simple — with many humans involved the results get messy. I’ve started and stopped this post multiple times because I wanted to make the post short and simple. Instead it looks to be long and convoluted as in more than one post. So to state my beliefs as to how we humans manifest atrocities when we say we want peace. I’ll start with gravity.
To my knowledge gravity has existed since this universe existed. Its basic laws have remained constant. Want more gravity — make an object bigger or bring it closer. Gravity functions even if humans are not conscious of it or call it another name. Gravity is non-judgmental. It does not choose to drop a boulder on a car because it doesn’t like the people in the car. If one asks why doesn’t gravity pull all planes out of the sky? We humans counteract with an opposing force to the force of gravity. It is a physical law of this world not a spiritual law. However, if asked Source/God/Jesus… will align gravity to work for the greater good. Size does not matter. Gravity works on pebbles as well as planets.
To my knowledge Law of Attraction has existed since this universe existed. Its basic laws have remained constant. Want more with the Law of Attraction — have more people focus on the thought or concentrate your thoughts. Law of Attraction functions even if humans are not conscious of it or call it another name. Law of Attraction is non-judgmental. It does not choose to drop a boulder on a car because it doesn’t like the people in the car. If one asks why doesn’t Law of Attraction get all planes safely to their destinations? We humans counteract with an opposing force to that wish. It is a physical law of this world not a spiritual law. However, if asked Source/God/Jesus… will align Law of Attraction to work for the greater good. Size does not matter. Law of Attraction works on attracting a dollar as well as a billion dollars.
So my point. Think me amusing or demented. Choose to not believe. Gravity and the Law of Attraction are going to keep right on having an influence on your life. Think how long it took before we knew about gravity and how long we thought the earth was flat — I’m not going to argue with anyone who disagrees with me. Frankly, arguing will get me more arguing. I personally find it more enjoyable and peaceful to apply the rules consciously and for the things I want rather than letting my unconscious thoughts or my ignorance of the law bring unhappiness to me and the world.
If you want to know what you are focused on — look at what is in your life. Don’t judge it — just acknowledge it. Now the tricky part if you don’t like your life is to figure out how you focused it into being. Did you do it consciously/unconsciously? Was it intentional or unintentional? Did you have knowledge of the working of the law or was it out of ignorance? Did you passively go along with the thoughts of a “group” thinking it wouldn’t really matter? Is it from a belief so ingrained in your culture you’ve focused on it without questioning the long-term impact? Is it from a general belief that you are a victim — the world is unfair — you deserve to be punished for some long ago transgression? Are you a member of a group/race/religion … who has been persecuted for centuries? Do you spend most of your time listening to music or reading books or watching TV that focuses on the very things you don’t want? Are most of your conversations about the things that you hate or want to avoid? What kind of art do you have hanging on the wall? What fears shadow your every step? Do you blame the bad stuff on a habit? Are you casting a net of judgement over a group of people because of an interaction with one person of that group? Do you believe you are not good enough? Have you heard a statement, no matter how absurd or hateful, so many times, you figured it must be true?
As I said, focus may not be simple. Is it worth a few moments to shift your thoughts to what you do want in the world? If you don’t believe in the Law of Attraction what could it hurt to focus on the happy/loving/peaceful stuff instead of the sad/hateful/fighting? And if you do believe, think of all the joy you’ll bring to yourself and others.
