I was recently asked to compile a list of all the birds I have seen while nature walking along Lake Neatahwanta. Some I find difficult to tell apart. Some my photo is not the greatest. The same bird may look very different when comparing winter/summer plumage, male/female and immature/adult. Some I think I have it identified and then I notice the beak is the wrong color or it shouldn’t be in that habitat. While perusing the birds at BrighamStephen, he made the comment about grebes being so common. To me they are not. I have seen them twice here and for very short periods of time. This made me realize that what I may be stressing over identifying — the rest of you may say that bird is obviously….. So with sincerest apologies for the lack of quality for the photos — if you know the species of bird, I would appreciate your help.
