I went on a nature drive with my dad. There were some things I see quite often.

boat reflection Lock 3

The ugly boat reflection.

lighthouse Oswego

The lighthouse in Oswego.

grasses clouds Brietbeck Park

The grasses and clouds at Breitbeck Park.

marsh area Lake Ontario

The marshy area along Lake Ontario.

ducks Oswego River Fulton

The lovey-dovey ducks from last week.

shoreline Lake Ontario Oswego

And of course, the waves and rocky shoreline along Lake Ontario.

There are other things I can never see enough of…

sunrise along Oswego River Minetto

like a beautiful sunrise.

There are things I have to admit I am sick of seeing…

snowy spring yard

snowy field

and more snow…

snowy tress yard

and — oh yes — more snow.

There were a few visitor coming out of their burrows or returning to nests that I quite enjoyed seeing.

bunny rabbit Oswego State

The fluffy bunny.

nesting osprey Oswego

And nesting osprey. (Do you think she is telling him he needs a pedicure?)

I respect the personal space of an animal — especially during mating/nesting season.

osprey nesting Oswego

If these osprey had been sitting on eggs, I would have stayed far far away. Because they are quick to try to draw you away.

flying osprey Oswego

And when that doesn’t work — you get THE look.

miffed osprey Oswego

The bunny was in flight mode…

scared bunny rabbit Oswego State

so we left him to nibble the new green grass. I know spring weather will eventually catch up to the calendar — until then I think I shall envy Miss Bunny’s fluffy coat. Hope you got to walk in nature this week. Peace.
