I went on a nature drive with my dad. There were some things I see quite often.
The ugly boat reflection.
The lighthouse in Oswego.
The grasses and clouds at Breitbeck Park.
The marshy area along Lake Ontario.
The lovey-dovey ducks from last week.
And of course, the waves and rocky shoreline along Lake Ontario.
There are other things I can never see enough of…
like a beautiful sunrise.
There are things I have to admit I am sick of seeing…
and more snow…
and — oh yes — more snow.
There were a few visitor coming out of their burrows or returning to nests that I quite enjoyed seeing.
The fluffy bunny.
And nesting osprey. (Do you think she is telling him he needs a pedicure?)
I respect the personal space of an animal — especially during mating/nesting season.
If these osprey had been sitting on eggs, I would have stayed far far away. Because they are quick to try to draw you away.
And when that doesn’t work — you get THE look.
The bunny was in flight mode…
so we left him to nibble the new green grass. I know spring weather will eventually catch up to the calendar — until then I think I shall envy Miss Bunny’s fluffy coat. Hope you got to walk in nature this week. Peace.
