I decided to play tourist in my own town. I haven’t been to Sharps Pond since I was a kid. My mom used to swim in the pond. As you can see it is not swimmable anymore. The Sharps Pond Dam was built in 1910. And the pond covers about 2 acres.
As you’ll see from the photos, painted turtles like the pond. There was a large fish swimming around but I couldn’t get a shot other than him poking his face up under the plants. If I identified the yellow aquatic plant correctly it is a carnivorous plant. I had no idea we had those in Fulton. The white aquatic plant, I couldn’t identify. Let me know please if you can name it. (as always click to enlarge any photo)
