Image43lighthouse“We are told to let our light shine, and if it does, we won’t need to tell anybody it does. Lighthouses don’t fire canons to call attention to their shining — they just shine,” by Dwight L. Moody.

Today’s Intention: To shine.

Image1lilyImage2cactusflowerThis week I thought it unusual that my peace lily bloomed for the first time. And that it bloomed at the same time as my Christmas cactus.

And then I realized it wasn’t so strange — my two closest relatives passed — one on Christmas and one near Easter. They have been my guardian angels for most of my life. I wasn’t aware of this until my adult life — but now I know it was always so. These flowers are their gift to let me know that their souls continue to flourish — continue to bring beauty to me and anyone who would look for beauty — when the flower shrivels and falls away — the plant will still live — just as when my body shrivels and falls away — I shall live on.

I hope you are surrounded by those who shine brightly — peace.

Happy Easter. Love, Colleen

I found this TED talk to be interesting and unique. And yes, there is a bit about the environment in the talk — but the most important question is “are you afraid to change because of who you’ll become?”
