Today’s Intention: Listen to my inner voice. Today it came from my horoscope.  In short, it said to combine my intuition and intellect. Do I listen to my horoscope every day? No. What I listen to is when messages from different sources fit together and make sense to me.

All except my brother’s quote came to me in the last 24 hours — plus a few more.

I was actually reading Marianne Williamson’s book, The Healing of America, when I read the quote from the Declaration of Independence. It’s what really got me so riled up yesterday. Having been disabled with MCS — I realized I that I no longer live in the safe democratic society I grew up believing in.

Image1ME002Yes, I believe that God (the Creator) has given me the RIGHT to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. But those in power in the US have stripped me of these rights. As I shoveled MY driveway yesterday — I had to come in the house because a neighbor was doing their laundry and the toxic chemicals that my government allows to be put in products came wafting over and invaded MY personal air space. I become sick to my stomach, hives, and headache. This is not a life.

I have no liberty — no freedom — I cannot go to the grocery store, the movies, or out to dinner or continue to teach as I had previously for close to two decades.

My pursuit of happiness has been stripped from me by companies that are concerned with profit before safety. While I fight for breath — these CEO’s have jets and mansions and trips to foreign lands. They have no right to strip me of MY rights so that they may become more wealthy.

This country was founded on the principle of equality and that no one man’s rights would interfere with another’s freedoms and rights. Well MINE have been. And million’s of others rights have been stripped from them as well.

Joe’s words carried to me the message that — yes — I am very talented and it’s time I stopped whining and started to let loose with some passion. Sonda’s words carried the message to me that there is no way I can know all of God’s plan for me — there are too many twist and turns and intricate details — BUT — if I have FAITH that there IS a plan all will be well. My brother’s words carried to me the message that I will never be an Oprah or Gandhi or Martin Luther King Jr. — few will ever know my name. My soul’s purpose on this earth is not to be famous — it is to plant seeds — ideas — glimmer’s of hope — niggles of righteousness.

Of course I have grievances against my government, the chemical companies, the people who knowingly are systematically destroying the human race for profit. And this is the point — not Oprah nor Gandhi nor Martin Luther King Jr. “WON” people to their way of thinking by fighting or by constantly harping on their grievances. They brought the light to the world by BEING the light for others to find their way out of the darkness.

I have recommitted myself to the fact that I don’t have the money, time, energy, health, resources or legal acumen to fight the chemical companies. BUT I have something much better. I live in a country that guaranteed me the right to freedom of speech and I plan on using that right before some for profit company comes along and tries to take that away from me too.

What does any of this have to do with love? It doesn’t. It has to do with Love as in God. By standing in the light, I have been reminded that as the Declaration of Independence states: power comes from the CONSENT of “the governed” NOT the “government”. I do not give my CONSENT TO BE POISONED ANY LONGER.

Today, I declare that I Love myself and therefore I cannot and will not take actions that go against this belief. One of those actions has been for the last 25 years — inaction.

The Women’s Rights Movement began with 5 women socializing in a kitchen and then it spread to 100 people at the first convention. I have sat in the Wesleyan Chapel site of that first convention. I sat in a room watching a video of the history of this movement. When the lights came back up, there were tears in my eyes and all the women AND men in the room — that a few people spoke out at a convention in 1848 at risk to their own safety so that I as a woman would now have the RIGHT to vote — the RIGHT to speak my peace. I will not throw away the sacrifice that was done for me.

The movement has already begun to stop Ecocide (@Polly Higgins) to educate about MCS to inform the world that you have been duped — many of the products you are buying to make your family’s lives better are in fact killing you. If you love: life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness — I hope you remember that if you are a US citizen reading this you have the RIGHT to speak out and that the government acts on OUR CONSENT as citizens NOT the other way around.

When you speak — speak words of love and peace and freedom these are the only words truly ever worth listening too.
